An Introduction to Muse in Motion
Whoever you are, I want to acknowledge the very obvious fact that this is a journal of a yapper.
A yapper is a person who likes to yap.
According to the dictionary, to yap means to bark, highlighting the connotations that a person who partakes in yapping is mostly, if not, only, spewing nonsense. However, to yap, at least in my social circle, is to exchange profound ideas with one another. It sounds pretentious, and maybe it is, or perhaps it is simply grounded in the fact that I surround myself with a multi-faceted community, with limitless curiosities, boundless judgment, and absolute creative minds. Or, again, just pretentious - however, does that truly matter?
This journal’s purpose is for me to record all my thoughts, including my exchanges with friends and acquaintances. Beyond this, it is a way to see the development of certain ideas and beliefs, and how the creative and critical mind intertwine; from thought patterns, and receptivity of differing perspectives, to even a complete refusal of an idea I once thought was the truth. That is the beauty of being human - the ability to change, progress, and develop. The extent of this is dependent on your will, passion, and above all, curiosity.
This may sound all too exhaustive, however, one thing I would like you to remember from this preface is that all the information you know and seek is interlaced together. Whatever you consider is true and part of reality, to the ones you deny; these are all connected forming complex webs. Hence, whatever you do need to know has, and will, always find you.
Knowledge is simply the truth you’ve accepted into your reality.
